Kimberly Madison, M.S.W., LICSW

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

Accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Welcome! My name is Kimberly Madison (soon to be Kimberly Rudecki), but I go by Kim.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Alabama, working with children, teens, adults, and couples who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and life transitions. I’m especially passionate about supporting middle and high school students, as well as women who are seeking to grow in self-worth and confidence.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to have everything figured out—just come as you are. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can begin to find clarity, healing, and hope.

I take a practical, client-centered approach to therapy, focusing on helping you build the tools and confidence needed to feel more in control outside of sessions. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and continue to expand my training in trauma-informed care. I also offer Christian faith-based counseling for those who wish to incorporate their faith into the healing process. Together, we will explore how past experiences may be shaping your present while working toward meaningful, lasting change.

Originally from Virginia, I relocated to Alabama (by way of North Carolina) in 2019 and now reside in the Huntsville area with my husband and our pets—two cats and a dog. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University and began my career in education before discovering my passion for social work. I later earned my Master of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I also love to cook and travel.
